My research interests include knowledge representation and reasoning, cognitive systems, machine learning, and control systems as applied to adaptive mobile robots and agents collaborating with humans in different domains. I develop algorithms and architectures that enable robots to: (a) represent, reason, and act based on different descriptions of commonsense domain knowledge and uncertainty; (b) learn interactively and cumulatively from different sensor inputs; and (c) describe their decisions, beliefs, and experiences in order to establish that their behavior satisfies certain properties.
