As Group Executive with responsibility for origination and client coverage, I lead our pan-African deal origination efforts, delivering our full suite of infrastructure planning, project preparation, financing and implementation/maintenance services to private investors, state-owned entities and African sovereigns. Our goal is to unlock ~R100Bn (~$8Bn) annually in infrastructure, including $2Bn via our balance sheet through a combination of senior and sub-ordinated debt and other structured solutions. Our focus sectors in infrastructure include power/energy, transport/logistics, telecoms, water/sanitation, health and education.

The Operating Board provides guidance to the SDIP Secretariat on strategy, oversees progress and ensures adequate resourcing.

I also managed the office's recruitment and marketing efforts.Engagement experience included operations and overhead improvement, capital efficiency, contractor insourcing and managment operating system roll-out. I've led projects in gold, platinum, thermal coal, minerals sands, petro-chemicals and LNG in South Africa, West Africa and Europe.

-Led the internal strategic planning team for SAA, with responsibility for annual strategic planning and market research.-Launched and led the corporate restructuring programme for SAA, with the goal of reducing unit costs by 10% over three year period. Achieved savings of ZAR600M in the first financial year, primarily by targeting fleet, distribution and ground handling expenditure.
