About Mohanad Darawsheh
How to participate in the change toward sustainable development? This is the way that I describe what I am trying to do now.My way of work involve the change of the mindset toward system thinking, regenerative desgin and circularity.Nature is my inspiration to create sustainable, regenerative and environmentally-friendly bioeconomic solutions and to implement sustainable concepts in the design and redesign of products taking into consideration the European Green Deal and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.Through Imita Natura: I help companies in creating innovative solutions based on inspiration in existing strategies in nature, that is, using biomimicry. By integrating sustainable, circular and regenerative design in companies, one can achieve triple impact: economic, social and environmental. All this to give organization competitive advantages in the most effective and simple way possible.Also, I introduce students and professionals to biomimicry and how to use Nature as imitating source to create sustainable innovations. I simplify innovation for SMEs through the minimalist design approach: less is more, using only the essentials to deliver the solution effectively without losing the attractiveness of the innovation. In addition, I cover the essential needs of each client basing on their resources and their potentials to create more affordable innovation for SMEs.My studies background is chemistry (PhD) but I worked in several roles that includes (R+D+I, production, analysis, quality control, bio-applications and marketing) of chemical, bio-chemical and agrifood products.I lived in several countries in Middle East and Europe and I were part of scientific institutes, chemical laboratories and agricultural associations. Through this time, I gained extensive experience as bio-chemist and learned to auto-develop myself and to adapt to everyday challenges.I speak English and Spanish in addition to my mother-tongue language, which is Arabic. My interests range from photography to biking. I am learning minimalism and macro photography as a way to be inspired by art.
