• Develop and execute a comprehensive plan for the technical and engineering aspects of Waldorf Astoria. This includes setting timelines, coordinating with various teams (architects, construction, interior design, etc.).
• Oversee and approve / reject the testing and commissioning of all technical systems and equipment to ensure they function correctly and meet performance standards.
• Conduct thorough inspections of the construction site, inspecting all elements of the project, including structural, mechanical, electrical, and finishing work, to identify defects, imperfections, and deficiencies and.
• Prepare and manage the budget for engineering and technical aspects of the pre-opening phase. Procure necessary equipment, materials, and technology to ensure that the property is fully operational.
• Track and manage the snagging process to ensure that all defects are addressed and resolved within a reasonable timeframe to avoid delays in the project.
• Ensure that all construction, engineering, and technical work complies with local regulations, permits, and safety standards. Coordinate with local authorities to secure necessary approvals as civil defence and MOI.

• Complete Re-Branding performed, including mapping and allocation of Logos / Directional and Location signage's. Conformity to new brand standards.
• Leading refurbishment project workshops for 400 Guest Rooms as first phase, followed by 5 Food and Beverage Outlets, 11 Meeting Rooms, wet and Recreational areas.
• Organize and manage internal projects, like replacement 30k liter capacity underground LPG tanks, completing all authorities check points and obtaining a valid operational license.
• Responsible for energy/green initiative systems and management.
• Implement, follow and complete timely Preventive Maintenance Programs.
• In charge of the management of technical integrations and relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Qatar

• Completed renovation of SPA/Recreational facilities at the hotel including all the MEP required.
• Timely renewed Civil Defense (CD) license for the building which includes the following areas: Fire alarm, Firefighting, Staircase pressurization testing & adjustments, CO system, FM 200, Sprinkler’s system; other.
• Machinery services conducted for - Boilers / chillers / generators/ air compressors, as per manufacture recommendations.
• Third party inspections for critical systems and obtaining a valid operation license.
• Conducted regular walk-throughs to visually assess the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the -physical structure(s) of the hotel, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and any other related equipment.
• Implemented and executed an effective PPM program for all laundry, kitchen equipment and HVAC systems that led to a minimum breakdown.

Doha - Qatar

• Assisted and supported the Director of Engineering on all matters related to the repair and maintenance, and reported operation progress on daily basis.
• Maintained the entire hotel facility, including the physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and other related equipment in accordance with energy conservation and preventative maintenance.
• Assisted in budgeting and monitoring expenses.
• Ensured smooth operation of the hotel by following an effective PPM.
• Achieved personal and departmental KPI's by managing the team effectively and motivating them to perform at best.

Doha - Qatar

• Pre-opening handover snagging process completed in coordination with Chief Engineer, Consultant and Contractors, ensuring safety, functionality and visual appearances as per drawings and standards.
• Conducted detailed check of various engineering related systems like - Chillers
• / Boilers / AHU's / FAHU/ Fire protection systems, Rooms, Kitchen and Laundry machines, Plumbing systems, Pumps, CHW Supply and return lines.
• Reported to the Corporate Engineer all abnormal conditions noticed during inspections related to life and safety - addressed concerns to contractors or actioned accordingly.
• Prepared weekly snagging progress report - Cross check, verify all the takeover documents, manuals, as built drawings from projects team.
• Preparation of all Fire, Life & Safety documentation required to obtain Legal license.

Hospitality Divison -Hurghada - Egypt

• Repair and/or adjust all types of electrical and HVAC equipment and heavy machinery.
• Handle day to day shift and manage a smooth operation.
• Assist to conserve energy and report any ideas to the Engineering Management.
• Supervise and control the preventive maintenance schedule.
• Responsible for the FLS systems at the property.
• Follow the preventive maintenance chart strictly and maintain records for future reference.

Borg Elarab - Alexandria

• Assist the management in direct oversight of department’s daily operation.
• Participate in assigned long-term preventative maintenance programs and projects.
• Involve in department’s routine operations by handling repairs and assisting management with administrative duties.
