Worked as Project Manager for software development projects from Planning to close the projects. I am leading a team who building Internet and intranet applications for non-technical end-users located in Europe market. I am involving in analyze the needs of clients, interview end-users and determine specifications in conjunction with systems analysts and build up functional specification. And also draw up budgets for projects, Supervise team typically of five to ten engineers to complete projects on deadline. Closely working with Development team and working with quality assurance teams, testing software and training end-users on software if necessary.

I was involved in defining the Processes for software development and Quality Assurance, implement the defined processes, auditing, improve the processes and automate certain processes in the cycle. I was responsible for deliver the Quality Product to customer and coordinate the works among the QA team which consists of 3 members.

Worked in many IT projects as Team Lead and played Technical role in Projects. As a Team Lead, I have involved in projects phases from Initialize, Plan, Executing, Monitoring & control and Closure on projects

During this period I was working with a team, which consists of 3 programmers, who’s worked under me. I developed and implemented Airline Ticket Management System with Financial Accounting for two leading tickets agent in the Sri Lanka. Application has been developed using Visual Basic and database is Oracle, which runs on Windows NT environment. The application consists of following modules:Back Office :Debtor control module, Creditors ledger module, Banking module with postdated cheque information,Cashbook management, Sale analysis (airline wise sectors wise, customer wise, sales staff wise), General ledger. Front office for voucher preparing, invoicing, customer’s receipts control and tickets stock control.And Also I have developed and implemented Accounting, inventory, Payroll, Daybook Management System for Manufacturing Company, Tea Exports Company, Trading Companies, Distributing companies, Pharmaceutical Company, Imports Company and small type of organizations. The all above software developed using Visual Basic and database MS Access, oracle, MS SQL depending on customer requirement.

I was worked as an Analyst Programmer during this period, my responsibilities are: System Analysis, System Design, construction, testing, implementing and maintenance. All application were developed using Clipper 5.2 and FoxBASE+ as database for Novell and DOS environment.
