As part of the system engineering function, my remit is to develop and roll-out new software and modernize web-based applications for a network of communication satellites. I analyse ground-based systems intently to identify and resolve issues, perform regular data back-up and maintain at optimum performance to meet service delivery levels. I administer various station-based Linux servers, a GMV auto fleet satellite control system, GMV FocusSuite flight dynamics solution and Kratos Compass tools to continually analyze control station equipment for rapid problem solving. My key contributions include:• Automated paper-based processes to save significant time using a new 3P system.• Enabled early issue identification by implementing a Garafana-based data dashboard.• Created a 14-day framework to collate, propagate and compare two-line element set data.• Formed vendor relationships to install, configure and troubleshoot various programs.

My remit focused on internal development of new web applications, system software and infrastructure enhancements for the first mobile phone operator in the country. I analysed PSDs from commercial team to deploy fit-for-purpose solutions for subscribers in line with specifications. I was elected as technical expert to ensure service quality for IT billing, VAS and IN projects, involving diverse products and promotions, recognizing areas for improvement and making sound recommendations. I collated, reviewed and reported on IT KPIs and SLAs for senior management decision making. I performed detailed solution tests to input into design and mitigate risks to critical business data, such as monthly invoices and bill cycle, while ensuring quality assurance. My key contributions included:• Fully automated the KPI dashboard to mitigate paperwork, resulting in easy data access.• Set-up LTE provision launch on time by integrating USSDGW with home subscriber server.• Co-automated scripts to collate data for presentation in quality of service dashboard.

I primarily retained all banking servers and databases on-site to ensure optimum performance by carrying out routine checks daily, and processing requested reports from systems. I administered IT architecture including JBoss servers, Temenos T24, Oracle Database and Linux servers, identifying any issues within a live operating environment. My key contributions included:• Led team to migrate data from Benta Bank to Temenos T24 real-time core banking software.• Built a new payments solution to enable university students to easily pay back applied fees.• Redeveloped wider banking apps such as SMS banking and data for Central Bank of Sudan.• Orchestrated the installation of Red Hat Linux and Oracle database under Linux

Khartoum Sudan

In a multi-faceted role, I took ownership of server management, database administration, back-ups and operating system control to retain all at maximum performance, using daily routine checks. I reviewed client requests and reports from all servers and systems to respond to problems, employ necessary upgrades and recommend enhancements. I recognised issues early in SQL Server database connection to SMPP with regular configuration and troubleshooting. My key contributions included:• Completed projects for Zain, Katia, VMP, Blue Nile TV, Isys Trading, Gutoof and Aljazeera.• Introduced core VAS solutions for Al Salam Bank, Farmer's Bank and various others.
