About Mohanakrishnan Raman

I am passionate about living, loving, learning, and leaving a legacy. I am an Industrial and Organisational Psychologist with a Ph.D qualification., I have a rich experience in the education and consulting sectors, where I have served as a Professor, Department Head, Dean, and Advisor, and advisor to many business families and the businesses. I worked in various leadership positions in the corporate world. I blend my organisation development & management consulting experience with the academic knowledge to better the client I serve. As a scholar, I have earned my Ph.D. degree and published several academic papers. I have also authored a book on “Family Business - Methods and Essentials of Building Business Families”.Currently, I enjoy providing advice and guidance to organizations and family businesses. I love to apply my creative thinking skills to solve complex challenges and help them achieve their goals. For instance, I helped a construction company increase its revenue from 10 million USD to 200 million USD in seven years. I also rescued a content solutions company from bankruptcy and turned it around, boosting its revenue from 2 million USD to 20 million USD and its value to 50 million USD. Helped to move 60M USD worth of assets to a family trust for a family without any conflicts and consensus. I have worked with nearly 40 families and helped them maintain family harmony, wealth, and happiness. I am involved in consulting some family businesses that are going through transitions. It has been a rewarding career path so far. I am establishing Centers of Excellence in the Family Business Area in Mysore, India, that will focus on research topics such as Business Sustainability and continuity to Generations, Gender Differences, Succession and Handing Over processes, Family Councils and Constitution, Family Conflict Management and Resolutions, Family Health and Innovations and Technology in Family Business. In this direction created a learning platform called the International Family Business Enterprises Conference (IFBEC) which was hosted successfully twice, the third one is under preparation and it will be annual event moving to multiple cities and countries and continents. Was an Erasmus Professor and passionately pursuing the collaborative opportunities in MENA, Asia and rest of Africa regions.
