Dr. Mohanned M. Al-Arabiat is a transformative leader and a bridge-builder who has helped propel Generations for Peace (GFP) to become a globally recognized force for peacebuilding. His expertise in strategic communication, organizational development, and fostering collaboration is fueled by a deep understanding of the Jordanian context. As President and Acting CEO, Dr. Al-Arabiat's strategic vision and commitment to local engagement have positioned GFP as a vital bridge between communities, governments, and international actors. Dr. Al-Arabiat is a proven advocate for peacebuilding. His experience as a founding member of the Strategic Communications Unit at the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) equipped him with the skills to navigate complex political landscapes. There, he played a critical role in crafting messaging that countered extremist narratives and fostered social cohesion during a period of national crisis. This experience instilled in him the importance of engaging with government and security actors as partners in peacebuilding efforts. Dr. Al-Arabiat's leadership style is characterized by a multi-pronged approach that prioritizes engagement across all sectors. He has fostered strong relationships with Jordanian government ministries, security actors, and local communities. This collaborative approach ensured that GFP's programs are not only culturally relevant but also strategically aligned with national priorities.His commitment extends beyond Jordan's borders. Dr. Al-Arabiat has spearheaded engagements with the United Nations’ (UN) agnencies and international donors representing Jordan and GFP at multiple conferences in Brussels, Geneva, Lusanne, Washington DC, Vienna, Tokyo, Seoul, Tampa, Chicago, and New York. Through strategic advocacy and program development, he has secured crucial funding that empowered the organization to scale its impact and amplify its voice on the global stage.

Mohanned joined GFP in March 2017 and serves as a direct link to HRH Prince Feisal Al-Hussein and the Board.Dr. Mohanned’s academic research experience, passion for social justice and community development, change management and leadership, and application of technology in organisations and society ensures his invaluable input informing the work of the organisation. He believes in creating spaces for youth to express themselves in a positive manner through unique interactions.As a passionate advocate for human rights and countering extremism, Dr. Mohanned works towards a vision where conflict and difference do not end in violence. He strives to counter the extremist narratives with narratives of peace, tolerance, and acceptance.Until recently, Dr. Mohanned was Assistant Professor at Princess Sumaya University for Technology. His academic interests include leadership, change management, and technology acceptance. He has a PhD in Computer and Information Science and a Masters in Information Systems from DePaul University in Chicago, as well as a Masters in Social Justice and Community Development from Loyola University, Chicago, in addition to his Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems from University of Jordan.
