At the helm of the Global Programme Office at Syngene—a leading contract research, development, and manufacturing organization—I specialize in designing and implementing a comprehensive system (project management, service management, and culture) to drive customer delight. Concurrently, my leadership of the Syngene Amgen R&D Center (SARC) is defined by a comprehensive transformation of people, processes, and infrastructure—creating enduring value and scalability. I also had the privilege of coordinating Syngene's COVID-19 response, including a data-driven COVID-testing program.Previously, at Bristol Myers Squibb in the U.S., I built and led a diverse, high-performing team of operations directors and project managers, introducing a flexible external-internal operating model to advance the Innovative Medicines Development portfolio. I also helped accelerate and cost-optimize the clinical development of an immunology asset that is now successfully launched.Before my U.S. role, I led the Biocon BMS R&D Center (BBRC) in India, embedding a culture of safety and innovation while fostering ecosystem development that mitigated risks and created growth opportunities—a legacy that continues to fuel the Center's success today. I also contributed strategically to a venture-funded innovation engine, Allied Bristol Life Sciences, which attracted novel ideas from leading institutes such as Harvard and Yale. I represented the Center in various governance bodies and at several country-level forums. Earlier in my career, I advanced through roles of increasing responsibility at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories and Bristol Myers Squibb in India, gaining experience across project management, portfolio management, financial valuation, venture funding, R&D operations, human resources, and productivity transformation.A lifelong learner, I’ve pursued executive education at Harvard, MIT, and other institutions to deepen my expertise beyond my foundational training at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and Jadavpur University. I have published and presented on various topics worldwide. My original research work includes a new insight into decision-making under risk—the Opportunity-Threat Theory.
