Mentor aspiring students and principal investigators in commercialization of their innovation through spin-offs from the university or sub-licensing of their intellectual property. Assist prospective spin-offs in areas of business development, raising angel and VC money, and strategic planning. Develop and present topics relevant to entrepreneurship, strategy, and commercialization to the general community within the university. Some of the projects involved in include:- Wireless charging for Robots (Spin-off: WiBotic)- Economical nuclear fusion (Spin-off: CTFusion)- Self-cleaning nano surfaces for solar panels (early stage)- High dynamic range broadband direct sampling transceivers for a new generation of radios and passive remote sensing applications (early stage)
