As the General Manager - Clinical Research at Cankids KidsCan, I oversee the pediatric oncology clinical research at the institute, with over 13 years of experience in the healthcare sector. My role involves grant writing, research proposal development, securing grants, regulatory approvals, study tool creation, staff training, data collection, quality assurance, and publication efforts. I also focus on capacity building for patient advocacy groups, developing SOPs for regulatory compliance, and implementing tools and systems for departmental improvements.Prior to joining Cankids, I was the Program Manager for the National TB Elimination Program at the Government of Uttar Pradesh, where I facilitated the management of Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis (DRTB) services, collaborating with private practitioners, NGOs, and sector dispensaries. I also established linkages with relevant entities and facilitated change management in utilizing Nikshay tools for data entry and public health action. Additionally, I contributed significantly to the establishment and setup of the Medanta Duke Research, a Phase I Clinical Research Unit, where I coordinated Phase I studies and drafted clinical protocols and Informed Consent Forms. My expertise spans from clinical research to public health, with a mission to improve the quality of life and outcomes for patients with life-threatening diseases.
