During his master's studies, Mohd have worked on multiple projects:First Project Brief: Developing sustainable and durable concrete mixture for Minnesota DOT.Designing and testing new concrete mixture designs for bridge deck overlays that are placed with a volumetric mixer. These mixtures are evaluated with 13 different laboratory tests on fresh and hardened properties. My recommended mixture was successfully used on a bridge deck overlay in Minnesota and North Dakota. My work has changed the specifications of both states.Second Project Brief: Studying the impact of larger coarse aggregate on the properties of flowable concrete. Different combined gradations are investigated and their effect on the fresh and hardened properties of the concrete mixtures. In these mixtures, the fine aggregate proportions were held constant, while the coarse aggregate proportions were varied to allow the impact of the larger coarse aggregate sizes on the workability and the hardened properties.

Worked in concrete material technology lab Improving the properties of concrete and developing an environmentally friendly concrete where we used the ash left after burning COVID-19 medical waste and replaced it with cement at different percentages.

Jordan

Vice president of the first ACI chapter in Jordan. I was a founding member under the supervision of Dr. Faris Matalkah. My team coordinated several events & competitions related to concrete technology, such as making the strongest concrete beam with local materials competition, designing a plate with fibers competition, and floating mortar small boat competition. The students came up with out of the box trying to win. The competitions were held during big events we hosted for the civil engineering department, professors and university management faculty attended and more than 300 students were in each event. The chapter received official accreditation from the ACI & support from Lafarge-Holcim, the Jordanian Concrete Association “JCA” and Yarmouk University.

As an engineer for the main contractor on the job site, my duties were to approve the work that subcontractors did approve the materials received on the job site, and make sure that they were within the specifications. As well as tracking the quality of the concrete received by doing quality control testing.
