I am a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) specialist. My STEM journey began when I was a high school student, where I developed a passion for science and maths. I was fascinated by how these subjects could be used to explain and understand the world around us. After HSC, I decided to study Physics and then completed my Masters in Physics. My professional journey in education began as a tutor, where I discovered my passion for teaching and helping students learn. However, I quickly realised that traditional teaching methods are only sometimes effective, and I wanted to find new ways to make learning more engaging and interactive.After a few years of tutoring, I decided to explore the field of edutainment and got a job as a science trainer at a company. In this role, I incorporated technology and hands-on activities to make science exciting and accessible to people of all ages. I have also had the opportunity to develop and write educational kits, content and curricula for various programs and events.This experience led me to pursue a career in educational content development. I landed a job as a content writer for a publishing house, writing and developing content for books and a digital learning platform for students of all ages. This experience taught me the importance of creating engaging and interactive content that meets the target audience's needs.After these experiences, I was offered a program management role as a Manager-EduTech. In this role, I oversee the development and implementation of technology-enhanced learning materials for a group of schools. I also help design and implement STEM content, curricula, resources and provide support and training to teachers. In addition, I work closely with school leaders, teachers, and STEM faculties to ensure our content aligns with curriculum standards.One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is being able to inspire and motivate young students to be interested in STEM fields. Seeing my content's impact on student learning and engagement has always been refreshing. I am constantly looking for new ways to incorporate technology and interactive elements into our materials to make learning more engaging and effective.Overall, my journey was a fulfilling and exciting experience. From a tutor to a trainer, then to a content creator and now a manager-EduTech, I have made a tangible impact on the lives of students and teachers, and I am excited to continue to do so in the future.
