Strategize, drive and control asset management and performance of OBU International Assets to ensure its operational and maintenance activities achieve the desired uptime reliability, safety and cost effectiveness as well as in compliance to the industry regulations and standards in meeting customer’s requirements.Managing 5 Assets (3 FPSO's, 1 FSO & 1 Semi-sub) located in Malaysia & International waters in terms of:1. Contractual uptime and performance according to the contract.2. Ensure contractual obligation towards the bareboat charter of each assets being complied by charterer. 3. Managing O&M contractor in ensuring PM being met and plant uptime were within the allowable limit. 4. Generate yearly budget and monitor budget performance and utilization within the allocated approved budget.5. Perform inspection and audit on the assets to ensure the asset being operated and maintain according to the contract.

Day to day Operations & Technical support - ensuring specific operations objectives are met, whereas constraints preventing the implementations are identified and resolved.

Managing 5 Assets (4 FSO's and 1 FPSO) located in Malaysia waters in terms of: 1. Contractual uptime and performance according to the contract. 2. Ensure contractual obligation towards the bareboat charter of each assets being complied by charterer. 3. Manage and supervise specific contractors’ performance to ensure conformance and compliance to the terms and conditions of contracts, statutory and regulatory requirements and industry standards to ensure operational and maintenance activities achieve the contractual uptime performance and reliability. Collate and analyse data for the development of asset management budget and other improvement initiatives.

ASSET OPERATIONAL / MAINTENANCE SUPERVISION• Supervise operators and contractors activities on OBU assets operations and maintenance to ensure their compliance to the planned operation and maintenance schedule on vessels uptime performance and reliability in compliance to the industry regulations and standards to meet client’s requirements.• Provide operational and maintenance status reports and highlights on non-conformanceCONDITIONAL AUDITS / INSPECTIONS• Conduct conditional audits and inspections on vessels and make recommendation for continuous improvement.OPERATION & MAINTENANCE BUDGET/MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS SUPERVISION• Collect and analyze data for the development of operational & maintenance budget. Consolidate vessels’ budget against actual performance reports for department consolidation in determining operational excellence• CONTRACT MANAGEMENT MONITORING• Monitor and report the performance of operators and contractors to ensure compliance the terms and conditions of various contracts in safeguarding OBU’s interests.QHSSE & OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL-DATA COLLATION• Monitor and report the implementation of OBU’s HSE policies, procedures and guidelines in operational and maintenance activities to safeguard and protect life, asset and environment.• Monitor the development of Asset Operators’ operation and maintenance manuals to ensure compliance with OBU Operations and Maintenance policies, industry regulations & standards and the contract with client.TECHNICAL EVALUATION & NETWORKING• Assist in the technical evaluation during tender award process for operations and maintenance related activities.• Establish and maintain good relationship with customers, government authorities and agencies such as that with DOSH, DOE, Marine Department, Classification Societies, PETRONAS PMU, SIRIM to facilitate regulatory compliance requirements and other pertinent issues related to asset operations and maintenance management.

IMPLEMENTATION OF ASSURANCE TO CUSTOMERS• Execute the strategies, directions and plans Marine Assurance Department to achieve and improve the TMSA ratings and acceptance of FMS managed tanker fleet of ships by Customers (Oil Majors etc) as per FMS set targets so as to enhance the business eligibility of FMS managed ships. FOCAL POINT FOR INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CUSTOMERS • To execute the directives and plans of the Marine Assurance Dept in the act as focal point to MISC internal parties (FMS FO, FP, QHSSE-BU-SU, etc.) and external Customers (Oil Majors etc) for facilitation, responses and communication of the ships vetted and shore based management assessed/reviewed as directed by the Head of Marine AssurancePLANNING, IMPLEMENTATION, MONITORING & REVIEWS • To assist in the planning and to implement the plans ensure the Corporation’s Fleet of Tanker ships (LNG, Chemical and LPG ships) acceptance by Customers are maintained suitable for employment are valid at all times.MARINE ASSURANCE INFORMATION, DOCUMENT AND DATA MANAGEMENT • To implement and monitor information, data and documents management related to ship vetting and shore based management TMSA reviews are maintained, updated and easily accessible/ retrievable for verification, analysis and reviews.CUSTOMER RELATIONS MANAGEMENT & NETWORKING • Develop, establish, maintain, review and improve close working relationship and networking with the internal and external Customers (All Oil / Chemical majors in the industry, especially the approval parties of the Customer) so as to enhance the confidence and assurance of the Customers on the safe and reliable operations of MISC/FMS shipboard and shore based managementMARINE ASSURANCE DEPARTMENT ADMINISTRATION, PERFORMANCE AND DEVELOPMENT • To assist in the development, establishing, maintaining, and improvement of department/personnel competency, capability and operational efficiency so as to operate in a cost effective manner.

• Managing and monitoring implementation of Pre Sea Cadets ( Local & Foreign), Administrative Officer, Electrical Engineer and rating career development, so as to ensure that all future officers or ratings are well equip with necessary right skill, knowledge and attribute in supporting and realizing MISC Corporate Agenda, in line with maritime industry, client requirements also with cost effective manner.RECRUITMENT EXERCISE FOR CADETS (LOCAL & FOREIGN). ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS, ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS AND RATINGS.• Organize the recruitment exercise which entails advertisements, venue, interview facilities and panel, exams and tabulate the assessment results.TRAINING SUPPORT SERVICES (COLLEGE & SHIPBOARD TRAINING)• Ensure that the academic performance, welfare, disciplines and training needs during pre sea training are well taken care.• Ensure the Shipboard Training for the Non-LNG cadets runs smoothly.• Organize function or meeting for the Management with cadets and ratings. PRE SEA RECORD, DATA UPDATING AND SAFE KEEPING• Responsible for pre sea data, development and training are updated and available for references and safe keeping of personal files and agreement.

Directly responsible with the Operations and Maintenance of the ship’s main propulsion plant, electrical power plant and auxiliary machinery and act as Duty Engineer responsible to plan and carry out Planned & Corrective Maintenance as planned
