Current1. Review and evaluate the contracted work scope and its terms and conditions. To raise Project Budget and Entertainment Budget.2. Organize meetings between the ship owner’s representative and the yard’s project team for confirmation of contracted work scope, clarify arising matters, if necessary, establish rapport with the customer, and endeavor to maintain the company’s image during the vessel repair period.3. Monitor any amendments to the contracted work scope e.g., Variation Order (VO), Additional Work Order (AWO), quote the cost and required working period, and negotiate with the attending ship owner’s representative prior to its commencement.4. Monitor and follow up on the progress of the assigned project by liaising with relevant project members for the purpose of ensuring the smooth execution of the contracted project.5. Check on matters that may affect the total cost and the delivery date of the project. 6. Attend and smoothed out all difference’s friction arising within the technical department, Owner, ship staff, Owner arranged contractor, and specialist during the course of repair at the shipyard.7. Identify, estimate and ascertain the total budgetary repair amount in cases where advance payment is necessary prior to the ship’s departure in order to advise and agree with the ship owner’s representative and notify for prompt payment.8. Prepare and negotiate the bill with diligence and care, reflecting original quoted prices, yard standard tariff prices, additional agreed prices, and prevailing market prices to ensure the yard’s interest is safeguarded. Thereafter present the same to the Manager of Contract & Cost Control for authority and strategy for negotiation.9. Monitor and follow up on the progress of payment. To issue reminders and necessary correspondence prior to closing an account.10. Ensure that the company’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies are strictly adhered to.
