Initially a Sales and Marketing person, I gave up working for others in 1982. In 1986, I introduced, for the first time in the world, the concept of a magazine on video with 'Cine Vision', a movie magazine. This was soon copied, more successfully than I could I must add, by a Bombay based company who brought out 'Lahrein'.Having nurtured the idea of starting a paging network in India for over a decade, I established a paging network in Bangalore, India in 1989, catering to a niche clientele. Participated in a tender for mobile communications in 1994 and bagged licenses for 5 cities. Not having the required manpower and other resources to implement the business, I sold the licenses.Setup World Telecommunications a company that provides an internet calling service (VOIP), in New York in 1999. As this is an internet based business that runs on automation, I monitor it from my home computer and have not much to do.June 2008 saw the launch of Miacall, a company providing internet call services in Saudi Arabia and UAE. Miacall provides a proprietory software that enables internet calls when installed on compatible mobile handsets using GPRS, 3G or Wi-Fi. Calls can thus be made from a mobile handset or from a PC. Miacall also provides a callback service where of course both the calls will be chargeable.On the 1st of January 2011, I launched Sonmoks Mobile Recharge, a company that provides mobile phone and DTH top up. Members sign up free of cost, add funds to their accounts and avail of the top up facility either online or through SMS. The company does not charge any service fee but provides the opportunity for members to earn commissions generating a residual income. The Miracle plan goes one step ahead and adds the facility to the members to communicate among themselves free of cost across the world. This plan also generates huge income for the members.
