I as a Project Consultant facilitate and assist the TERI team in the implementation of Tiger Reserve projects, supervise, conduct, and coordinate with respect to the collection of data for the estimation of carbon stock. I also facilitate and conduct surveys with local communities for understanding socio-economic status. I help the team in the preparation of Project Design Documents and Monitoring reports. Assist TERI in capacity building of the stakeholders in the project area and following up with clients. In addition, assist TERI team members in other projects wherever required.

I have successfully completed my internship at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), Delhi under Centre for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services area of the Land Resources Division. As an intern at this organization, I was presented with the opportunity to explore the multiple facets of the Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Use (AFOLU) projects. I was favoured to learn about the Voluntary Carbon Market using the VERRA standards and methodologies.Under the guidance of TERI team, I was able to witness their major project “Improving rural livelihood through agroforestry practices in Punjab, India” which helped me gain an insight on carbon market. The main objective of this project was - ARR VCS project plans to promote sustainable agroforestry for small-scale farmers to provide them with financial benefits and ensure GHG mitigation in the state of Punjab, India.
