I have a rich experience of 35+ years in bookkeeping and accounting. I got my bachelor's Degree in Commerce from Gujarat University in 1983. My accounting career began at a government infrastructure contracting company in India where I handled overall accounts for the firm. I also performed project-wise accounting with inventory management, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, financial reporting, tax preparation, sales, etc. I moved to the US in 2013 and worked on developing a restaurant business with my husband. I handled the books for this business and oversaw the finances. In 2019, I moved to Columbus and worked at a company called InnVite Hospitality where I was responsible for bookkeeping, reconciliations, etc., and reported to the CPA. Then after, I worked at 3QSCPA, where I handled the books for 70 different companies. Finally, at Addison Wallace Inc, I performed intercompany, bank, and credit card reconciliation for five companies. I also prepared and entered journal entries with minimum oversight. I managed payroll, accounts payable, and receivable, and conducted regular ledger maintenance. Specifically, I improved accounts payable by preventing duplicate payments. I also assisted the CFO with ad-hoc projects related to financial reporting.
