Founder And CeoHarabaag Apr 2017 - Jun 2021Mumbai Area, IndiaHarabaag exists to find and leverage farmer-centric, digital technology-enabled, money-making opportunities, in the Indian agri-business environment, such that it brings innovation to Indian farmers, improves the eco-system and makes Indian Agriculture sector more sustainable.Our primary goal was to provide market access to small holder farmers across all regions in India, so that they are able to sell their produce at the most opportune moment, at an appropriate price. Our thesis was that there is an acute lack of actionable data (WHO has planted WHAT crop WHERE), which causes both supply-side and demand-side inefficiencies, problems and disruptions.To that end, we developed online/offline channels to collect source data (about 120,000 farmers, and 300 Farmer Producer Companies), and use this data to fulfil demand from traders, wholesalers and corporate buyers. Unfortunately, we had do shut Harabaag down as one of the co-founder passed away.
