Involved in maintaining and enhancing the loan originations system, the first system in a chain to evaluate and approve loan aplication based on customer, dealer and various business and compliance rules.

Helps understand business requirement. Designs and implement solutions to fulfill those requirements. Java/J2ee (and a mix of open source frameworks) used to implement the solutions. Agile methodology and test driven development practiced.Some of the solutions include dental claim processing, payment processing and maintaining/enhancing web properties. Off lately, involved in an initiative to secure services using OpenId Connect tokens.

Involved in requirement gathering, functional and technical design, implementation, testing and production support. Work involves interaction with clients on a regular basis. System being prepared for production deployment and already rolled out to pilot users. System appreciated for making the work flow fast and effective. Estimated ROI ~ 400%.

Work activities involve transition of business requirements, component modeling using Rational Architect, code generation using MDA approach, coding, unit testing and integration testing.

Involved in developing generic application framework and modifying existing applications to be more generic leading to easy deployment across different domains. Applications were built around the real time data mining solution ThinkEnterprise, an excellent product by the ThinkAnalytics Pvt. Ltd. Has been part of the scope defination, requirement analysis, module designing, coding and testing.

Got opportunity to work on some very good projects and excellent teams. Learned the test driven approach to development, agile methodology and a chance to learn new technologies and frameworks. Worked for the Royal Bank of Scotland for more than a year on challenging projects including a real time monitoring system and a settlements engine to settle financial trades between parties.

Joined Kanbay (now Capgemini) as a fresher. Had a great learning experience at Kanbay and planned to continue for a long time. But due to family matters, had to shift to another company in Delhi. But I still value the core values at Kanbay and it's definite breed of intelligent people, who I feel really deserve to be known as domain experts in the financial field. It's just due to the start Kanbay provided me that I am a lot more cofident in the technologies I work on and have a good hold on them. Another plus with this company is the Certification reimbursement policy.
