Management Systems:- Manage the consultant and IMS team that worked with MPC to develop and implement the management systems in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and OSHAS 18001.Environmental- Manage the updating of the ESIAs;- Review the design of the different plants to ensure compliance with applicable environmental regulations; - Prepare comprehensive environmental risk assessment and register for MPC operations.- Develop the company’s Environmental Management Plan (EMP) - Design the environmental monitoring program to ensure compliance with the applicable regulations; - Liaise with the national regulatory agency and the international banks funding the project with regards to EIA, permitting, environmental management and compliance, as well as reporting; report company’s compliance as per the World Bank guidelines and Equator Principle.Health and Safety, Environment (HSE)- Develop MPC Safety, Health and Environmental Management System (SHEMs);- Implement the software for HSE Management System;- Manage the development of the safety risk assessment and industrial hygiene studies for MPC operations at 2 sites;- Manage the permitting of radioactive sources and the radiation monitoring and protection program - Oversee the performance of the PMC and the contractors during construction and commissioning.

Provide overall management and direction for a team of engineers and technicians (55) to ensure the implementation of the Royal Commission Environmental Protection and Control Program for Jubail Industrial City, one of the largest industrial cities in the world.- Updating the Royal Commission Environmental Regulations;- Develop the Royal Commission Penalty System;- Enhancing environmental compliance of industries in Jubail via close monitoring and follow-up;- Initiating the Royal Commission Environmental Awards for industries with better environmental performance.- Permitting of more than 200 industrial and support facilities (refineries, olefins, PE and PP, EO/EG, VCM & PVC, PS, fertilizer, n-paraffin and LAB, MTBE and Methanol, VAM, acetic acid, etc). - Managing the environmental program in Jubail Industrial City; - Reviewing and updating the environmental regulations, standards and penalty system;- Managing the operation and maintenance of air quality/ meteorological monitoring network; - Overseeing the operation of the environmental and public health laboratory (more than 300 samples per month);- Carrying out industrial inspections and auditing;- Emergency response planning and implementation; - Following up on the compliance of industrial facilities; and- Approving the EIA for new developments and mega projects (Jubail 2, power plants, port expansions, etc.)
