Projects: Design and Flow Simulation Inside Two Different Conduits Aimed to Increase Flow Delivery of Huge Washer Drums and to Reduce Pump Vacuum.• Constructed CAD models from prototype models and drawings of conduits of huge pressure pipeless washer drums used in pulp and paper processing • Built geometry, meshed, applied boundary conditions, and analyzed flow inside the new conduit, reduces vacuum and increased flow delivery of the washer drums by FLUENT • Performed CFD simulations for different conduit geometries to facilitate the flowing of pulp mixture inside the new conduits by FLUENT• Regular meetings to report the results and coordinate the project works

I collaborated with a consortium of three steel companies (ArcelorMittal Dofasco, Evraz, and Essar) on a research project to improve mechanical and metallurgical characteristics of hot rolled steel strips during controlled cooling of runout table (ROT) in steel mill conditions.My research included numerical assessment (CFD simulation) and extensive systematic experiments on the hydrodynamics of impingement flow and wetting front propagation due to circular jet, and jet interactions over stationary and moving substrates in mill conditions.I also trained co-op students in thermofluids testing and measurements and ANSYS package
