• Providing professional engineering design and consultation services for all industries supported by Terra Cat Power Systems which includes various power generation equipment like Diesel Generators and Gas Generators.• Developing strong relationships with customers, contractors and consultants.• Preparing all tender documents for project tenders providing assessment and protection regarding estimation costs to minimise risk to the business.• Studying technical specifications and complex tender requirements to prepare complete design for generators power supply system to ensure ‘fit for purpose’, high quality engineering services and solutions.• Preparing costing sheet and estimating project timeline based on feedback from sub-vendors.• Preparation of techno-commercial offer and taking approval from Manager to submit to client.• Development of database for various sub-vendors to keep the prices of regularly purchased materials, updated.• Developing and updating list for competitive and technically strong sub-vendors and sub-contractors.

Major Responsibilities & Project Management (EPG & Oil/Petroleum Sector):• Studying Technical specifications and prepare technical & commercial offers for projects and seek approval of Sales Manager.• Preparing Technical Submittal and meeting with consultants to discuss the technical proposal.• Providing technical clarifications to customer / consultant in order to obtain technical submittal approval.• Assist consultants and contractors on Genset specification and technical issues.• Inspect and witness test Genset and Non-CAT items at manufacturer’s premises and Al-Bahar's workshop.• Ensure supply of equipment & execution of projects in a cost effective manner.• Prepare project scope of work for tendering; discuss technical and installation issues with contractor.• Preparing the Genset room installation layout drawing and coordinating with Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Services.• Supervise installation projects and ensure that work progress in on track and meeting project quality criteria.• Ensure installation audit is carried out after project completion.• Effectively coordinate the handover and closeout of projects.Commercial Dealing:• Understanding the customer needs and offer solutions to meet customer requirements.• Supporting the sales team and provide solutions to customer technical issues.• Visiting customer site to gather technical information required to make proper customer proposal.• Promoting and conduct business in a professional manner in order to protect the integrity of Caterpillar Brand and Al-Bahar image.

Achievement:• Successfully developed and tested a software programme using LabVIEW for automated temperature recording and analysing the data for Temperature Rise Test of Keithley 3706A System Multimeter and Yokogawa DX2000.Job Role: (Testing Engineer)• Performing routine tests of following equipment according to the prepared drawings, bill of materials, checklists, guidelines and customer order data:o Control and Relay Panels (400KV, 132KV, 33KV, 11KV, 3.3KV)o Double Bus Bar 11KV Switchgear Panelso Low Voltage AC and DC distribution Panelso Motor Control Centreso Main Low Tension Panels (MLTPs)o Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS)o Telemetry Transfer Terminal Cabinets(TTTC), Pilot Marshalling Cabinets(PMC), On Load Tap Changer Control Panels(OLTC)o Bus Ducts• Programming and Testing of Numerical Relays• Checking and Testing of control functions, trip circuit supervision, CT/VT supervision, Auto reclose, synchro-check, automatic transfer, mechanical and electrical interlocks.• Primary and Secondary Injection.• Programming and Testing of Transducers, Power Quality Monitors and Annunciators• Testing communication protocols of fault recorders (DCON, Modbus RTUs)• Targeting the best performance in term of quality and delivery time.• Preparing of the ITP including test formats, testing schedule and testing activities.• Recording deviation, investigate root cause of failure and write quality problem / non-conformance reports.• Performing and self-checking of test result, fill in technical data sheets and confirm on assigned checklist.• Conducting and leading the Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs)• Maintaining test equipment and sustain proper continuous calibration, and maintain top quality in the process of other departments.• Manpower allocation for testing activities.

Duties include:• Studying / Understanding the complete schematic layout of Power System, from source to load.• Selection of proper rating and sizing of MCCBs, ACBs, cables, and wires, Bus bars, Tap-offs, Transformers, UPS and Generators.• Supervising & Installation of Generators, UPS, Lighting System, Fire Alarm System, Power System (Transformers, MLTPs, Bus ducts, MSBs, DBs), Communication System, Clock System and other Low Voltage systems those are required in building under construction.• Coordinating with Civil work, HVAC, Fire Fighting and Plumbing services.• Comply with MEW Regulations, KFD Regulations, MOC Regulations and IEC/BS Standards.
