Analysing and researching current and new suppliers to understand the availability of products and services, timeframes and cost. Negotiating and renegotiating contracts with suppliers, liaising with other departments(mainly Sales and Engineering) that were involved to ensure everybody’s satisfaction with the supplier Co-ordinating with the engineering team to determine the products and services that are needed as per the requirement by the time Maintaining good relationships with the foreign suppliers for better rates and sourcing materials in meantime especially when the material was unavailable in the local market Analysing market trends and researching into new products and services which support the business objective by regularly visiting suppliers and market Negotiating prices and payment terms of suppliers for easy and cost effective procurement Selecting appropriate vendor based on comparative study of their quality products and services Managing own transporters for real time and cost effective purchase and ensure daily procurement activities within the given time Ensuring accurate, appropriate and timely delivery of materials to the workshop (in sync with inventory status)or worksite by rigorous follow ups and prompt actions. Working on Zoho (ERP) to manage, monitor and streamline all the purchase activities and vendor management. Managing and preserving all purchase related documents like invoice, purchase order, delivery note, SOA, warranty, insurance etc. for records.
