I am currently occupying the post of Legal Metrology Officer(LMO) in the Legal Metrology and Consumer Affairs Department where my key responsibilities entail participation in detailed event-based problem analysis provided by application monitoring / support incidents to reduce errors and improve quality of service and to check unfair trade practices.Few of my tenure highlights include: Planning awareness camps to standardize weights and measures and prevent unfair trade practices Conducting seminars/workshops in schools & colleges to educate people about their rights as a consumer Conducting surprise check-ups and inspections and preparing detailed report to mitigate the problems Effectively streamlining the processes and increasing the revenueI am also responsible for evaluating service feature requests, assisting in prioritization, and analyzing them for impact to operations and delivery cost. In addition, I played a key role in regulating the use of correct weighing and measuring instruments in production, trade and commerce to ensure that exact weight, measure and number of commodity is provided to any customer.

In my first assignment, I started as a Trainee for Quality Control & Production with Samridhi Plyboards Pvt. Ltd. J&K and as my career progressed, got promoted to the post of Production Manager & Wood Chemist. I was responsible for conducting analysis relating to chemical additives and properties of wood-based composites, where I devised and implemented processes, in line with organizational standards and client specifications. I also checked and monitored material quality received from vendors/ suppliers as well as monitored sub-contractors’ quality in execution of the work.In addition, I provided support to ensure consistent application of quality techniques and resolved quality issues by identifying problems, examined solution options, implemented action plans and provided resources. For my services rendered, I was distinguished as a specialist, with an ability to see through problems, conduct root cause analysis/ cause and effect analysis of the issue and put in place corrective/preventive actions to ensure long-term advantage to the company.
