Alstom is a French Multinational which holds interests in electricity generation and rail transport market.Primary job responsibility was to ensure optimization of SAP-FICO and to ensure business processes to be performed through SAP. Extended responsibilities included, but were not limited to, the following:• The addition of new GLs in Chart of Accounts for effective reporting and true and fair presentation  of financial statements.• Re-categorisation of vendors (i.e. supplies and services) and proper maintenance of Vendor  Master in SAP.• Grouping of customers according to their business and company’s requirement. Proper  maintenance of Customer Master in SAP.• The configuration of departmental Cash Journals to manage daily cash, allowing users to migrate   from Excel which was used previously for the same purpose.• The configuration of new Asset Classes, maintenance of Depreciation Keys, Asset Number   Ranges, Account Determination, and all related settings.• Maintenance of House Bank and configuration of Manual Bank Reconciliation Statement.• Defining new Cost Centers and Profit Centers for accurate management reporting.• Defining of Allocation Structures, using distribution and assessment.• The Induction of Internal Orders to keep track of company-owned vehicles.• Preparation of detailed user manuals for users to follow the steps of business processes in SAP.• Conducting extensive trainings for senior and middle management and end users.• Migration of Legacy data using LSMW.
