Job Roles: Responsible for safety, discipline, and environment in the work areaEnsure that the yard planning strategy defined by the seniors is always followedAnalyse the trade volumes service wise, and highlight if they are exceeding the quotaAnalyse the trends of trade routes and accordingly assign the best yard location considering distance & number of cranesEvaluate the vessel discharge volumes and reserve the space requiredEnsure that expert decking does not lead to significant volumes of multiple line containers being stacked togetherMonitor the Yard operations in real-time and take necessary corrective actions if exceptions arise e.g. yard delays, yard clashes, equipment delaysKeep a continuous track of the “Yard Impact” and maintain a forecast of 4 hours. Follow this forecast to make any changes to the yard plan in real-timeEnsure housekeeping activities are completed before the vessel berths alongsideFacilitate nomination of empty containers which must move out of the gate. Follow the empty nomination procedure as defined by the management. E.g.: Generate a list of empty containers (based on yard situation, traffic, workload on equipment’s) and submit the list to gate at regular intervals for nominating empty containers. This would facilitate the delivery process of empty containersMonitor yard utilization, traffic flows and CHE distribution to make the most appropriate container allocationsCoordinate with controllers & vessel planners to ensure appropriate corrective actions in case of any exceptions
