The Urban Scholars Program is a great resource to support first generation, low income, Boston Public School's students through academic standing. As a mentor and role model, my job is to provide support for my middle and high School students with both classwork and teamwork activities during the Summer.

Rite Aid was my first job, it was difficult from the beginning learning how to work in a professional field for the first time. But eventually my job did get easier as I learn how to do my duty as a cashier and adapt to talking with people I don't know. If there is anything I could take from this experience is that a simple nice greeting could really matter to the people I see during my part-time job.
