I am a Birth and Postpartum Doula! I am very passionate about supporting expecting and new Mothers and families because I see this as one of the most important (and under-supported) times for the families.I keep my work evidence-based. I offer information and sources that are based on research. It is also important to provide support in a way that builds your confidence in your own decisions as a parent, and when my time with your family is done that you feel self-empowered on your parenting journey.I finished vaginal steaming education by Peristeam Institute for Peristeam Facilitator for labor and postpartum. It's used as a supportive care to women's health along with my evidence based childbirth education by Lamaze international. I trained as a Birth Doula with DONA in 2019 and as a Postpartum Doula with Newmother Collective in 2020. I follow a Code of Ethics and a Standard of practice by DONA International and The Bulgarian Doula Association. I also pursued training in Rebozo practices and Bengkung belly binding. I understand that hiring someone to work with your family could be a deeply personal process, so I encourage you to contact me with your concerns. Furthermore, I offer complimentary consultation to all prospective clients, where we could meet and discuss your needs and goals.Shortly my support services are:Initial Consultation: The first time we meet I will enlighten the role and the services of the doula. This meeting gives you the opportunity to sense if you feel comfortable with me and if you are sure of hiring me.Prenatal meetings: In the prenatal meetings we discuss your visions of birth, your concerns. I also teach you and your partner different comfort measures.Labor Support: As a professional birth doula I commit my services only for births, attended by medical caregivers. In Bulgaria this excludes home births. During your hospital birth I'll support you in your choices.Postpartum Support: After birth I will stay with you 1-2 hours to ensure that breastfeeding is established and will follow up by phone. Few weeks after birth we can meet again to go over your birth experience.As a postpartum doula I can support you during the first 6 weeks after birth.
