In this role, I provided daily administrative support to the VCUarts Cinema program. My regular responsibilities included administering and filing contracts via DocuSign, running the department Basecamp, financial reconciliation, budgeting, purchasing, creating department materials, organization, and a variety of other special projects as they arise. I also worked with vendors, collaborated with other departments within the University, and assisted the students with projects as needed.

As a Project Management intern at TechSoup, I was tasked with project managing the organization's sustainability initiative by developing a communications plan for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.Additionally, I built out stakeholder profiles for the team's new CRM and provided other general administrative and project planning support using Trello and Asana.

In this role, I worked with the Director of the Open Education program on administration, project management, advocacy, research, community-building, event planning, and outreach. I contributed to communications and strategic planning, data analysis and reporting, database management, conference planning, and other activities in support of the program mission.• Scheduling and leading meetings, events, and workshops• Content curation and copywriting for a bi-weekly community newsletter• Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholder groups• Writing press releases, legislative content, talking points, calls to action, and conference proposals• Data collection, data entry, and data analysis

Advancing affordable course content projects, including the Affordable Course Content Award program. Identifying opportunities for affordable course content adoption on campus, especially among high-enrollment courses. Identifying and promote applicable library resources for use as course content. Assisting in the development and implementation of an outreach plan to faculty, administration, and students. Assisting in tracking affordable course content adoption on campus, measuring student savings and academic success, and communicating impact. Researching best practices and emerging opportunities in affordable course content initiatives.

After completing a year of the Action Corps, I was given the opportunity to mentor two Action Corps leaders during the year long Action Corps program. This included attending Action Lab again, which allowed me and my team to receive even more useful training. We also petitioned in the streets of DC, protested a nuclear weapons conference, and lobbied congresspeople at Capitol Hill.

As a Global Zero Action Corps leader, I was invited to attend the first ever Global Zero Action Lab in 2015. There, I received several days worth of fundamental training in beginning a chapter of Global Zero in Richmond, which I was able to bring back to my VCU chapter of Global Zero. I was also given the opportunity to lobby at the United Nations NPT Conference.

As an intern with the DPVA, I did a lot of grassroots outreach in the neighborhoods surrounding VCU. This including phone banking, canvassing, and attending events sponsored by the DPVA. My position was often described as "a mini field organizer".
