Responsible for interfacing with appliance and network vendors to facilitate technical understanding of products and protocols. Identified the data sources for NetCountant product of Apogee to collects data for network bandwidth usages, storage usages, and other network resources and creates charge-back reports for individuals, workgroups, departments, locations, regions and applications.

Worldwide Intranet and Internet Engineering, Implementation and Support (1/1991 – 12/1997)• Primary engineer for the design and implementation of global Intranet connectivity. Design included multiple Internet and Intranet connections through MCI, AT&T and Sprint, using HSSI, and OC3 links. Local Area Network and Gateway Deployment for Fixed Income, Equities and Firm Wide (4/1987 to 12/1990)• Responsible for the engineering, implementation and support of the original local area networks at Goldman Sachs. Networks were based on Novell Netware 3.15, X.25 and Asynchronous Gateway Technologies and Cabletron Hubs.• Significant responsibility for the global implementation of 5000 PC workstations, approximately 200 Novell File Server and hundreds of Networked Printers and Gateways. Involvement included travel to most domestic and international Goldman offices.• Engineered special workstation configuration for IBM Mainframe Connectivity and Market Data Connectivity for the Traders. • Trained the co-worker on the Novell and Cabletron’s Hub and gateway Technologies.• Earned employee of the year status as a result of the success of this project.• Created documentation for installation, implementation and support of files servers, gateways and workstations.
