CurrentEnsuring that Quality Control Process is utilized throughout the production process by performing First Piece Inspection, In-Process Inspections, Receiving Inspection, Final Inspection and First Article Verifications. Ensure that all measuring equipment and gages are up to date in their calibrations status by performing in- house calibration or submitting to a Qualified outside source. Update GageTrak with any and all calibration transactions. • Assist Quality Control team to develop and document best practices and methods for inspection, testing, gage selection, validation and calibration. Collaborate with Quality on Gage R&R as well as to formulate and maintain quality control objectives to maximize product reliability and minimize costs. • Audit, support, and train associates engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure compliance with inspection frequencies, documentation requirements and process controls as well as improve their competency in basic and advanced measuring techniques, including proper gage use, handling, storage and calibration “prior to use” requirements, GD&T etc. • Investigate the root cause of customer rejections and internal quality failures, disposition rejected items, and recommend and implement effective corrective action as required. • Troubleshoot equipment failures/repairs on optical equipment such as Zeiss and Endeavor CMMs. • Purchase, receive and Implement new gages onto the production floor.• Understand and comply with company policies, safety guidelines, quality system procedures and housekeeping standards. • Oversee 12 calibrator technicians as well as leading the monthly calibration meetings to discuss and share communications. Distribute and share meeting minutes with calibrators, inspectors and Quality Control.
