Scientific Experience► Quantum Biology► Open Quantum Systems Theory► Quantum InformationI studied a photosynthetic organism called green sulfur bacteria, which possesses a pigment-protein complex known as FMO. This complex maintains quantum coherence and quantum correlations between its pigments, enabling energy transfer with nearly 100% quantum efficiency. I developed a novel method to measure these quantum correlations and identified the pigments that enhance energy transport efficiency within the FMO complex. My research revealed the essential role of these quantum correlations in energy transfer.► Molecular cloning► Viral transduction techniques► Nucleocytoplasmic transportI investigated the nuclear accumulation of Gpn1 in human cells. Gpn1 is a protein conserved across various species and crucial for cell growth. By fusing the Gpn1 gene with a fluorescent protein (Gpn1-EYFP) and integrating it into the cellular genome using a retroviral vector, I observed its accumulation in the nucleus under a confocal microscope after treatment with Leptomycin B.
