R&D Engineer
Test Engineering Intern
Over my internship I was given tasked with designing and fabricating a automotive debug tester and an air leak tester. I took ownership of the two projects as I ensured progress and completion while adhering to set deadlines. The automotive PCBA debug tester involved me receiving gerbers and a mechanical sample of the PCBA. From there I opened the gerber files to find the necessary test points and other vital information to design the tester. Then I imported the file to AutoCAD to then make additional changes, and finally into SolidWorks as a sketch to create a 3D model. With the part file completed, I utilized off-the-shelf components to design the tester such as ESD coated garolite sheets, metric screws, washers, and hold down clamp. Then a final assembly was created to verify each component would function. Currently, the fixture is used in-house at Flex to aid the automotive segment of the facility. The pressure decay tester was designed in SolidWorks given the CAD file of the mechanical sample to be tested. From there, a CamTrac was used to actuate the sealing plugs into each connector of the sample to ensure proper sealing.
President
Led my organization by coordinating with officers on continuous improvement of events and recruitment. Acted on feedback to improve attendance, engagement, and social and community service aspects of the organization.
Vice President

Product Technical Support Intern
Contributed to the Warranty Return Center by testing returned products from job sites of York Chillers. These products included flow switches, pressure transducers, heat exchangers, compressor shaft seals, and more. After the failure mode was determined, an extensive failure analysis report was created to detail its failure mode to help technical support on-site to identify failure trends. Performed product teardowns to characterize part failures. Authored technical documentation to aid novice personnel in testing flow switches, pressure transducers, heat exchangers, and electronic expansion valves. Contributed to Power Electronics team by performing component qualification testing on power supplies and step transformers in thermal chambers to ensure proper operation under load and environment. Aided power electronics engineers by performing carbon monoxide cell testing in thermal chamber to identify faults in CO cell at different temperatures. Trained new interns in testing CO cell boards, power supplies, and step transformers.
