The role requires me to handle all finance related matters of the company including taxation matters and treasury function.

I was promoted to VP - Budgeting & Planning effective July 2012. My role remained same with respect to earlier position. Additional responsibilities after promotion are as follows:- Handling monthly and annual IFRS financial reporting along-with budget variances and taxation matters.- Development of policies and procedure manuals, business processes and setting up IT infrastructure related to finance and reporting.- Coordination with banks, external and internal auditors, legal and tax advisors and consultants.

As an AVP - Budgeting & Planning, my reporting was principally to the Chief Financial Officer. the job description included below mentioned tasks.- Responsible for budgeting, controlling and business planning process of the Company- Preparing and maintaining financial models and feasibility studies for new projects and Proposals.- Prepare monthly operational report, presentations and reports for the BOD and Management.Key Achievement:Successfully handled the joining pressure period by preparing the Company budget, financial projections, handling financial reporting, audit and Board meeting in a short span of 3 months.

The experience with PwC included performance of statutory audits, reviews, internal audits, special audits, and advisory engagements etc. The work required effective and efficient planning and monitoring of engagements, coordination with professionals (legal, actuarial, taxation and IT experts), resolution of critical reportable matters, close supervision and review of work performed by the engagement team, reporting to managers and partners, report preparations and presentations, financial analysis, relationship management with clients and engagement team and financial statement finalization.My experience with PwC involved following assignments:Audit and half yearly reviews of ENI Pakistan, Optimus Limited, Unilever Pakistan Limited, Agility Logistics Pakistan and GlaxoSmithKline Pakistan.- Audit of Optimus Limited included audit of acquisition transaction of its Subsidiary and consequent consolidation under IFRS 3 and IAS 27.- Prepared first year financial statements of Eni Pakistan after its transition to IFRS Reporting Entity under the amendments in Companies Ordinance. Application of IAS 21 to the current and past years and its effect on representation currency adjustments taken in prior year.- Special assignment of Component Accounting for ICI Pakistan Limited, an internal audit assignment of designing and documenting Purchase process for Younus Textile Mills including a pre audit of newly developed in-house General Ledger of the Company.- Performance Coaching and Development of reportable staff and Audit Training for staff and Clients.Key Achievements Secured early position of Job In charge. Performed a wide variety of engagements which enhanced my professional skills. Developed a good rapport within colleagues, Seniors and clients. Development of training, presentation, management and effective communication skills.
