To successfully host the Winter Olympic & Paralympic Games the ministry and owners needed to setup a fully operational ski resort to meet the international highest standards for races and hospitality. My starting responsibilities have been to setup a marketing-, price and cooperation strategy toward all various client groups (MICE-, Individuals, VIPs, etc) and represent the resort to the international audience and trade shows.As responsible manager I have been the face to the owner, FIS and Olympic Committee to trouble-shoot everything to “make it happen”. I had the responsibility to source, organize, train, plan and manage international experts during 3-year period. This included developing strategies, all processes and enablement for different involved departments such as lift-operations, hospitality, grooming, snowmaking, marketing , etc... I was further representing the interest of the venue owner and interaction with all parties involved (FIS, IOC, Russian ski Federation, etc) on questions of preparation and holding all the events in 3 year period. Responsible together with a colleague to develop the strategy and plan to store 450.000 m3 of snow as back up option in case of lack of snow during Olympic year. This is an unique project and has been done first time in the history of any Olympic competitions.

As Suzuki just entered into the WRC (World Rally Championship) I was appointed as project manager for Suzuki WRC activities. I planned and organized all related logistics and operations for the Suzuki WRC Racing team worldwide.As well I managed marketing related activities focusing on incentive programs and VIP hospitality for Suzuki or it’s clients at WRC races worldwide. For Porsche and Sony Ericsson one key brand project has been the Rallye Transsyberia from Moscow (Russia) to Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia), crossing several boarders. As a field manager my duty has been to coordinate a life- TV team ensure an in-time, in-quality daily life reporting on EUROSPORT channel and ensure the marketing output overall. To stay in the time schedule I had to master all on-site organizational challenges of a Rallye proving my improvisation-, language-, and negotiation skills.Further tasks: MTV Music Awards in Liverpool 2008 and Berlin 2009 -organization for Sony Ericsson, organization of Rock am Ring for VIP’s from Suzuki.Due to the launch of new product on the market (smart phone XPeria), SE decided on an intense media activity as well as on ground activities in cooperation at Ischgl, one of Austria’s best skiing resorts. Multiple Marketing activation events have been addressing VIP Partners and public brand awareness. My responsibility was to negotiate, organize and coordinate on-site SE activities during the winter season in Ischgl. Sony Ericsson organized a special incentive for their VIP’s during the 4 weeks of 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. Within my responsibility I had to plan incentive programs and ensure the smooth guest-relations and top-class execution for this once in a lifetime experience. The work required a lot of organization, improvisation, communication and negotiation skills in a customer facing role as well as in the field to align all local partners and multiple teams.
