Dr. Molenda has been working on anatomic site mapping and models since 2009 and is founder of the Anatomy Mapper ® platform. The standardized language posted on the Anatomy Mapper ® website represents a validated, international standard that has been adopted into ICD-11 and can be used to describe surface locations, findings and symptoms. In 2023, he launched a new, free educational version with a new multi-dimensional mapping engine that generates enhanced language descriptions and codes to accurately and precisely describe anatomy with a single click. In 2023, Dr. Molenda was also selected for grant funding by the US National Cancer Institute for a project that aims to apply the Anatomy Mapper ® language models, language-vision models, and vision-language models to skin cancer location tracking and communication. He currently serves as Principal Investigator in this research and development activity.The free educational version of Anatomy Mapper ® technology is available at https://edu.anatomymapper.com and is designed to support over 100 languages. Registration is free, and registered users can generate and organize lists of anatomic sites and their notes. Registered users can also view a visual library of standardized anatomic sites. The first edition of Anatomy Mapper ® visual library has over 1.6 million language-vision pairs, and over 10 million trainable language parameters just for surface anatomy. When accounting for Anatomy Mapper ® mirroring capabilities, there are over 3.2 million language-vision pairs and over 20 million trainable language parameters just for surface anatomy. The visual library serves as a source of truth based on validated standards for future Artificial Intelligence applications in health care documentation, delivery, communication, and research.

Advanced training in all phases of procedural dermatology including Mohs surgery and reconstruction, excisional surgery, dermabrasion and chemical peeling, hair transplantation, scalp reduction, cryosurgery, laser surgery, tissue augmentation, sclerotherapy, liposuction, and other physical modalities.

Obtained IRB approval and coordinated the local branch of a multi-center study assessing Dermatology education in medical schools. Study was headed by the University of California, San Francisco. Results enabled the proposal of a standardized Dermatology curriculum. Other participating institutions included: Brooke Army Medical Center; UCSF Fresno; Harvard Medical School; Texas Tech University School of Medicine; and University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

Identified genes regulated by the cyclic AMP signaling pathway during morphogenic transitions of Candida albicans using microarray analysis. Observed keratinocyte gene expression profiles after exposure to Interleukin-12 and/or UVB radiation using microarray analysis. Published as first author on abstract in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, and presented research at the Society of Investigative Dermatology’s 66th annual meeting.
