I am an aspiring educator deeply committed to social justice and inclusive education. I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching at Tufts University, with a vision of teaching in traditional public schools and arts centers around Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts. My dedication to innovative education has been recognized through the Antonio Cirino Memorial Scholarship, which supports my work in developing Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) plans and diverse artistic and cultural appreciation in my classroom for all students. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Arts with a concentration in Printmaking and a minor in Art History from Rhode Island College. As a formalist, I have mastered the understanding and application of the principles of design in order to develop highly intellectual, self-prophetic artistic concepts. These formal concepts take centerstage in the development of lesson plans and future projects for schools in Massachusetts. In addition to my academic and artistic pursuits, I am actively involved in youth, adult, and community program development at the Warwick Center for the Arts. Here, I coordinate programs targeted for children and adults taught by local artists and art educators, maintain the classroom organization, and ensure successful execution of arts programs.
