Profile bio

About Mollie Thomas

My professional experience has been shaped by two intrinsic passions: serving others and bringing people together. Throughout my career in the non-profit arts sector, I have demonstrated excellence in event design, strategic communications, fundraising, audience development, and relationship management. In particular, I have honed a unique talent for boosting infrastructure and implementing solutions that drive efficiency for organizations of any size. As my areas of expertise have expanded, my appreciation for life-long learning has solidified; I consider myself equally a mentor and mentee, with a persistent hunger for growth. A primary characteristic of my collaborative working style, I am most motivated by seeing my team, and our efforts to achieve our mission, succeed. I am also a visual artist and crave opportunities to create or be inspired, both at work and in my free time. In June 2020, I relocated to Hillsborough, North Carolina and quickly became invested in the local arts community, serving as Executive Director at the Hillsborough Arts Council for 2.5 years. After welcoming my first child in 2023, I have shifted gears to work as a freelance contractor for organizations in need of leadership support and strategic development. I continue to welcome volunteer, mentoring, networking, and professional development opportunities. Let’s connect!
