Martin is a seasoned photojournalist who boasts three decades of extensive experience in the media and publishing industry. His diverse portfolio spans a multitude of subjects, encompassing tourism, general news, politics, and more recently, federal politics. Martin is presently engaged under contract with News Corp Australia and NCA Newswire, organizations that oversee an expansive network including esteemed outlets such as The Australian, News.com.au, and the Daily Telegraph. In addition, his work extends to prominent platforms like Getty Images and the Nine Network, which encompasses The Age, The Sydney Morning Herald, and The Financial Review. Former darkroom technician at the Canberra Times and stringer for Reuters in London. With a career that spans the breadth of the internet industry, my journey began in 1994 at the Internet Comms Today magazine. This was followed by a tenure at .net magazine, where I delved deeper into the world of web publishing. As my interests diversified, I ventured into the realms of online commerce, business, and entertainment content creation.Eventually, my path led me back to Canberra, where I transitioned into the Defence and Government IT sectors. Here, I focused on Design and Solutions Architecture, working with CSC Australia. During this time, I spearheaded large-scale IT solutions that challenged and expanded my skill set.This experience paved the way for a role as a mobile developer, where I further honed my expertise in capability development over several years. Today, my diverse background and in-depth experience equip me with a unique standpoint on the intersection between technology, business, and content creation.Prior to resuming his career in press photography around 2020, Martin dedicated himself to photographing and promoting Canberra through a variety of initiatives in collaboration with the ACT Government.
