Born in St. Louis, MO in 1981, Molly holds a Bachelor of Science in Studio Art from Skidmore College and a Master of Fine Art from Pacific Northwest College of Art. Molly’s work is tactile, provocative and intimate, centralizing themes of trauma, the body, and queer imagination. Her work has been exhibited in solo shows at Chashama in New York City and Beverly Gallery in St. Louis amongst others, and in group shows nationally. Molly is a founding member of the queer curatorial project First Brick and recently completed a Guest Curatorship at the Washington County Museum. Molly is the recipient of the Margaret Mergentine Award for Excellence in Fiber Arts, was the 2017 Artist in Residence of the Oregon Bee Project and will be a resident at PLAYA in the spring.www.mollyalloy.com
