This role was split between digital marketing and policy research. Balancing the responsibility of both roles helped to develop my ability to effectively manage and organise my time.My research role included responsibilities such as: conducting evidenced research to spot trends and analyse data; drawing conclusions from multiple sources and complex commentary; creating copy, content and reports to be used in newsletters, website content, social media posts and to be distributed to key stakeholders in Governments for wider discussion. The role required me to proactively engage with a number of key stakeholders throughout Wales. I was instrumental in the development of the Chamber's policy structure. This included creating an internal group called policy panels in which I organised key stakeholders into cohorts to consult with on consultations. Sector Groups aimed to bring together individuals from businesses across a chosen sector to share best practices and discuss key opportunities and challenges within the sector. I worked to develop the structure, purpose and process of this group and it was the ambition that my successor would work to implement the running of a number of Sector Groups. Throughout my work with policy I also worked with a number of business representative organisations including the FSB and the CBI to develop the Wales Business Council, this brought together 31 private sector organisations into one single forum to galvanise a strong and consistent voice for the private sector in Wales. My marketing role included responsibilities such as: overseeing and managing company social media accounts; co-ordinating email marketing campaigns; developing targeted approaches to digital comms and managing and analysing data from our digital marketing campaigns. Sitting in the marketing department I also helped to support the wider marketing and events team to co-ordinate online and in-person events.

I was employed as a student fundraiser by the University's Development and Alumni Relations Office. This role involved me calling Birmingham alumni over the phone and having conversations with them to help to strengthen their relationship with the University and to get them involved in the fundraising campaign. The project we were working to raise money for was Bright Minds in Birmingham. Bright Minds helped to raise money to fund scholarships and bursaries for students. As a fundraiser I individually raised £6,243.75 and 77% of those I called made a donation.

At the age of 16 I began working for Pandora as a Sales Assistant. While at University I continued to work at the store in Cardiff during term time holidays. This experience in face to face customer service has developed my ability to communicate well and with a wide range of people, building on customer relationships and resolving complaints. Working with the company for over four years has also allowed me to develop excellent company and product knowledge; working busier Christmas periods has helped me gain experience working in a faster pace environment.
Lichfield, England, United Kingdom
After completing a placement with Lichfield Festival (September 2018- January 2019) through a University module, I was asked to stay on at the Festival working one day a week. This role was varied, it included running the festival's social media accounts, creating and distributing advertising posters to the local area about the upcoming Literature Festival, writing blog posts, and inputting funding information into Excel databases. This role involved me working on these tasks independently but also helping out with setting up the Literature Festival as part of a small team.
