I assisted a Fijian resort, Waidroka Bay, in conducting detailed research and planning potential designs for an artificial coral reef, which would aim to increase marine wildlife in the region and encourage tourists to visit the resort. Working on this project helped me to grow my passion for wildlife and environmental conservation, and I was able to put this knowledge into a real-world solution. I also participated in networking and cultural education events, engaging with other interns from around the world. I presented my full proposal to Waidroka Bay Resort, with my recommendations for their artificial reef project.
