Starting a job in SEO with no experience only six months into the pandemic, I was unsure of myself or where I may end up in the near future. Over the last two and a half years, I can confidently say I have experienced hundreds of unexpected scenarios and learned to face them all head-on with a can-do attitude. I could never have imagined starting in data entry and working my way up to managing 40+ writers and a department. While I have ultimately determined SEO is not where I long to stay, developing new skills is something I pride myself in. The ability to shift expectations, interoperate algorithms, and anticipate consumer are all skills I developed while working in SEO and plan to take with me into future endeavors. My ability to work well with others, problem-solve under pressure, and meet tight deadlines makes me a strong asset to any team; marketing, creative, or otherwise.
