Conducted organic synthesis, organometallic synthesis, and oligomerization experiments using schlenk line and glovebox techniques to test organometallic catalysts for their ability to produce jet fuel. Analyzed Chemical data to characterize the products formed in oligomerization experiments and communicated these results and their application for meetings with Chevron and JPL. Managed a lab of 8 undergraduate students and assisted in their training of using equipment and comprehending data.

Worked with High School students one-on-one in subjects such as Geometry, Calculus, History, English and Biology to help them master their understanding and confidence in these disciplines. Coordinated and communicated with managers at Team Tutors to reschedule tutoring sessions to best accommodate the schedules of students.

Tutored fellow Occidental College students in General Chemistry I & II classes and labs. Collaborated with other two other tutors to create an engaging tutoring environment where students from all backgrounds and levels can feel confident asking questions and building their understanding of chemistry concepts and lab techniques.

Supervised and assisted a Chemistry lab of 15 students with an experiment each week. Taught students safety skills for the lab, answered questions about experiment completion, and graded students’ labs. Coordinated and worked with professors to set up the lab according to their instructions.

Inspected sample tubes of COVID-19 tests, properly labeled tests and documented barcodes into system. Worked with lab technicians to ensure laboratory safety and efficiency.
