• Coordinate/Schedule/Handle cremations and embalmings for Heafey-Hoffmann-Dworak-Cutler Funeral Home and our 8 other locations• Make Funeral Arrangements with families who have lost a loved one and other job duties including: o Sitting down with families and planning a meaningful funeral service that’s suits their family’s wants and needso Fill out death certificates that have all of the deceased personal information on ito Contact several places during arrangements such as (Hospitals, Cemetery’s, Churches, Florists, Casket Companies, etc.) to ensure communication/plans go as scheduled for familieso Sell funeral products and merchandise • Fill out and gather important paperwork from the state of Nebraska, which is signed by the coroner giving permission to cremate a body• Double check the funeral home has the correct authorization from the family in order to proceed with the cremation process• Remove the deceased from place of death while working with either nurses or police officers at the scene• Answer incoming phone calls on multiple line systems• Order prep room supplies and funeral merchandise
