Responsible for nonfiction collection development, reference services, and computer assistance as needed for the community. Assists patrons with downloadable materials and their mobile devices. Member of several interdepartmental committees that undertake various special projects. Maintains and updates the library website.

Manage a team of 10 members, who provide forthcoming title information to customers and library services. Liaise with other departments and train internal staff on the approval department process. Create and compile data to help evaluate productivity and sales.

Perform literature searches for retrospective and forthcoming titles, using internal and external sources. Create and update bibliographic descriptions for academic titles. Adjust computer-generated selection for library profiles as deemed appropriate. Work closely with Collection Consultants and Sales. Review trade and national bibliographies such as NYTBR, TLS, Chronicle of Higher Education, etc., looking for titles not treated, analyzing why not and taking action, if appropriate. Review library customers Approval rejects and make recommendations for modifications to profiles.

Major duties include helping students, faculty and other library patrons find information; teach students and faculty how to use the library resources; maintain the library website; do the "behind the scenes" administration of library databases and other technology-type things.

Provided in-depth literature searches for health care professionals as well as a consumer health reference service for the public. Educated health care professionals about evidence-based searching. My responsibilities with Dr. Kovacs included conducting surveys and compiling data, usually into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. Once the data was compiled, we would analyze the results and conduct a research synopsis of our findings. My other responsibilities included knowledge of basic office skills and filing and I created digital materials for Dr. Kovacs.
