Providing cultural programming and community building at the Office of International Students and Scholars at Yale University for 6,000 international students and scholars.Highlighted Responsibilities- Manage our office's programming budget and oversee our International Programming Fund which distributes $10,000 annually to international student organizations - Lead our office’s Graduate and Professional Orientation Team which plans, coordinates, and implements pre-arrival communications and school-specific international student orientation for our 14 G&P schools, followed by post-orientation programs- Lead OISS’ Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Initiatives on campus by serving on the Global Division’s Staff DEIB Committee, created a DEIB Initiatives Fellowship in partnership with the Office of Career Strategy and mentor the Fellow and their implementation of DEIB programs for our international community- Serve as the OISS representative on university-wide committees such as the Advisory Committee on Student Life, Student Well-Being at Yale, Yale's Community of Learners, and the DEI Trainers Summit and Committee to advocate and collaborate with university leaders and campus partners to ensure our international students and scholars have equal access and support to university resources during their time on campus- Hire, supervise, and mentor a variety of student workers and our full-time OISS Intern who is with us for 6-9 months out of the year and is typically a recent graduate of an International Education Master’s program- Supervise our Front Desk and Office Coordinator - Co-Chair the Yale Connect Advisory Board, which includes deans and student life professionals across the institution, to oversee and implement policies related to CampusGroups which is the university’s campus-wide experience management platform- Develop and sustain a communications strategy for OISS

The Fresh Chapter Alliance Foundation (FCAF) inspires possibility, purpose, and connection in those impacted by cancer. By combining local and international volunteering with wellness programming and meaningful adventures, they reduce the isolation and depression caused by the disease.I consulted with founder, Terri Wingham, and A Fresh Chapter’s team to develop FCAF’s first Cape Town Odyssey program, a two week volunteer experience in South Africa that included cultural programming. Over the course of 11 months, I consulted on the following: - Program planning and implementation- Website Creation - see link- Content Development: ---> safety & security---> booking flights, passport & visa applications, recommended vaccinations, travel insurance, packing, and other travel logistics---> cross-cultural competence, understanding, and sensitivity ---> navigating free-time- Relationship building with program partners in Cape Town to develop volunteer roles for each participant and organization of cultural activities - Managing volunteer preparations with email and phone communication- Creating email templates and conference call content- Assisting in program wrap-up and evaluation- Assisting with the reentry process and reverse culture shock for the participants
