I graduated in 2022 with a BSc(Hons) in Geography with Environmental Forestry from Bangor University and I started a role with R4C to gain experience with great opportunities to work for a company that supports sustainable development. In September 2023 I had the greatest exciting opportunity to start employment with M-SParc, Wales' first dedicated Science park as a Low-Carbon Officer.Supporting new low-carbon developments within the region, stimulating the green economy and its wider supply chain.Liaising with industry, academia, and government to ensure that the region benefits from the low-carbon sector and the green recovery.I was born and raised in Wales and recently I have understood the importance of the Welsh language, therefore, I have started learning Welsh for personal and professional reasons. Being able to communicate with people in Welsh in local areas in North Wales, especially for work, creates a connection and respect. I have also volunteered with the Woodland Trust as a Threat Detector, where I located threatened ancient woodland and ancient and veteran trees, as this is something I appreciate is important.
