As a dedicated educator, researcher, and writer with over 20 years of experience across the United States and Australia, I am passionate about creating engaging, relevant learning experiences that challenge and inspire. My work spans secondary and higher education, where I have held leadership roles, designed curriculum, and taught a wide range of humanities and communications subjects, including Creative Non-Fiction and Feature Writing (subjects of my PhD and textbook), Digital and Broadcast Journalism, Screenwriting, World and European History, and Advanced English Composition.In my current role as a Middle School Principal and High School Humanities Faculty member at Foundry Academy, I focus on developing critical thinking and a love of learning in students through interactive and thought-provoking curricula. I also contribute to script development and story research for Indigenous-focused productions with Native Nation, where I support projects that share vital cultural narratives. My previous roles include serving in the faculty and in administration of the Journalism Department at Bond University in Australia, where I led curriculum design and strategic initiatives, and as an adjunct professor at Southern Cross University, developing online courses in Feature Writing. At Dogtag Entertainment, I collaborated on historical and script research for film and television, contributing to projects that reflect diverse and authentic storytelling. Through each position, I have focused on fostering community, advocating for nuanced storytelling, and supporting the next generation of thinkers, writers, and leaders.
